Use of Connexion is "free" to anyone 18 or older.
You are expected to be good, polite citizens of the community. Connexion tries to encourage civil and honest disclosure about who you are.
But we do ask you to abide by a few rules:
- Use your real first name. You can use any name you like as your last name if you're concerned about privacy.
- Do not use the system to send SPAM - even to your friends. SPAM is any email advertising a product, service or event where the recipient did not explicitly ask to be put on the mailing list. Anyone caught repeatedly abusing Connexion to send SPAM will be banned from using the system.
- Photos should be of yourself or you with friends. At least one picture must be a face pic of you.
- Photos should be yours, or you must have permission to upload them.
- Photos should not be excessively revealing, sexualized or obscene. Specifically:
- No pubic hair, butt cheeks or scrunching of underwear.
- No crotch-grabbing or holding of genitals (hard or soft), even if clothed.
- No cock outline, be it soft or hard.
- Speedos, square-cuts, and underwear is allowed, but your face must be visible.
- Such articles of clothing must be appropriately sized for your body and extremities.
- Thongs, posing briefs, jockstraps or other such apparel that cover less than a speedo would are NOT allowed.
If you have to think about whether or not a picture you're about to post is inappropriate, you probably shouldn't upload it. Photo guidelines apply to any and all media, including, but not limited to, photographs, paintings, sculpture, etc that depict, suggest, or imply nudity or anything of a sexual or potentially sexual nature.
- Do not post your phone # or other personal information such as your address in your profile or in any publicly viewable area of the site.
You can, of course, give personal information to someone in one-on-one chat or in a message. But remember that if you give out your phone # you are usually giving someone a method to find your home address.
- Do not post personal information about any other member in your profile on in any publicly viewable area of the site.
- Do not embed material using HTML- whether images, sound or video - that violates these guidelines.
- Do not try to "skirt the line". If the admins think you're trying to push us to see how close to the line you can get, we may well react sternly. We often get stricter with subsequent violations.
- Do not put sexually explicit or overly suggestive material in your profile.
- Did I mention that you shouldn't send SPAM?
- Do not use HTML to confuse people about your links. If a link says it goes somewhere specific, send them there. Do not send them to an unrelated site. And no links to porn, please.
- Be polite and respectful in all discussions. Others may have opinions that differ from yours, but that is no reason to start a flame war. Posts to public boards or comment areas that are excessive may be deleted.
- Do not create fake profiles or profiles for anyone other than yourself. And do not create profiles for a business or organization. Connexion is for people!
- Do not impersonate another person whether famous or otherwise. Yes, we'd all like to be
Ellen (or perhaps date her exs),
but, you know, we just aren't that lucky.
- Do not engage in character assassination, slander or libel. Basically, if you can't be adult, you should go play in another sandbox.
- Do not use the system for illegal activities.
- Do not make homophobic or racists comments, engage in hate speech or threaten violence of any reason. Posting anything in a public area of the site that disrespects the viewpoints, sexual orientation/identity, religious beliefs or other personal views of other members, or are disruptive, threatening, or constitute hate speech against any individual or group will be deleted. Severe or repeated violations may result in the deletion of your account at our sole discretion.
- Accounts not accessed for more than a year may be deleted without notice.
- Do not create or use any program which is capable of logging into any account on Connexion nor any program which attempts to access the private information of any member - including your own.
- Do not wear white after Labor Day.
OK, so that's a lot of "do not"s, but we hope they're all reasonable ones. Just be polite and respectful of other members and that'll cover most of it.
A bit of legal stuff:
Use of Connexion is provided to members solely at our discretion. Membership can be terminated for any cause we deem reasonable. You understand that we do not incur any liability by doing so and that we have no obligation to provide you with access to any information about you that was on the site at the time of termination including, but not limited to, information from your profile, a list of your friends, your messages, or information about any parties to which you may have been invited through Connexion.
