You guys know hottie songstress Erika Jayne from her Billboard club #1s 'Stars' and (my personal favorite) 'Roller Coaster.' Now she's back with her latest 'Give You Everything,' which this week moves up to number 7 on the Billboard club/dance charts.
What's more? Erika is getting set to release her debut full-length album 'Pretty Mess,' due out August 11 - album features 'Everything' along with the two aforementioned tracks. I was uber-lucky enough to get an advance preview of the album (it's not available online. I had to put out, you know how it goes), and trust me, you will want this album. In the meantime, check out the vid for 'Give You Everything':
A press conference was held this morning regarding the details of Michael Jackson's memorial service, which will be held this Tuesday, 10 a.m., at the Staples Center, Los Angeles.

No, I'm not talking about that.... I read, some time ago, a book by Arthur C. Clarke and Stephen Baxter, called The Light of Other Days, in which scientists learned how to create wormholes in space, ones big enough to send light and sound waves through. And with miniscule cameras, almost any place in the world, and at any time (for wormholes can penetrate any of the four traditional dimensions, including time), there was no place or time that was private. It changed the world, in astounding ways. Modesty and privacy went out the window. So did fraud, deception, lying. In the book, it became normal to see two people, of any sex, to copulate in a park, out in the open. Nudity, drugs, etc... all became normal, because none of it was forbidden any longer. It couldn't be. With the cheapness of a device that could create such a wormhole, children, adults, anyone, could go and see anything. It is surely the end of childhood, as Neil Postman talked about in his book (see my other blog). As you can see, this fundamentally would change the entire foundation of society. An amazing work from an amazing author.
Now I'm going to move into the more personal as a way of sharing what I'm learning about these powerful areas, navigating the way to abiding love.
In the last couple of weeks, the clarity has been getting much sharper around my own relationship to insecurity in my lifetime, and perhaps many lifetimes. I don't mean to sound arrogant here, but I know that the work that has come through me is powerful and has helped many people to discover more about themselves, what they seek, and move towards awakening to their potential. This awareness has been with me since I was a child, though back then it would get me into a lot of trouble. I had no idea that I was working with fire, and that fire needs a strong container and a lot of respect in order not to burn me, the surroundings, or other people along the way.
Another very hot flick from the boyz at StagHomme. Check out Pedro Andreas, who's now joins Damien and Francesco as a full-time member of the StagHomme team, and newcomer, Brasilian hottie Peter Fill, in his porn debut - gettin' busy in a hot tub against the backdrop of the Spanish urban jungle.
After this many seasons of The Real World, I've found that my taste for it has wavered a bit.
That was, however, before I found the Anti-Real World DC blog. The owner/creator of the blog lives across the street from the newest cast of this MTV reality series, and needless to say, he's not thrilled with the idea of having the 8 cast members this close to him in Dupont Circle.
Last Father's Day, I received a call from my Dad. I greeted him, and we talked for a while. He asked me how I was, in terms of work, health, etc. Then he asked me: Are you planning to stay single all your life? (My immediate family knows I'm gay, but so far, only my sister is okay with it. My parents are okay with it as long as I don't act on it. Kumusta naman 'yon di ba?!) I was stunned and speechless. Fortunately, he followed the question with the statement that I should ask God what His plan for me is, etc. So I just replied that I'm doing it. Well, I really am asking God to show me His plan for me, but still I hope He gives me a guy to be my partner, if He wills it. :p I wish I had the strength to tell this to my Dad, but I didn't want to ruin his special day. Still, I'm hoping the day will come that He, along with the rest of my family, would be okay with it.
Hi Patrick Wilson, I accidentally deleted your Happy Birthday post. How could I do such a thing??!! Patrick, I really am sorry - I totally love you! I listen to "The Full Monty" all the time and think you're a really good actor and stuff. Please forgive me for accidentally deleting your post. I hope you have a great 36th birthday!!
OK, so it's been a few months since the last submission.. But I'm really excited to bring you the latest installment of Playlist/212. This one comes from Oscar Raymundo, a freelance writer based in San Francisco, who is regular contributor to GayWired.com and the author of the blog Confessions of a Boy Toy. Take it away, Oscar ...
OK, raise your hand if you've ever been to Towne Club. If my family went there because we were bargain-hunters or poor (see ad, below), I sure never knew it. I just loved being in a store full of pop and walking around with a wooden crate picking out which ones I wanted to try next. The pineapple was the best -- and was the likely culprit behind all those fillings.
Switching Sides: Toni Layton, yet another of the nine-time Wimbledon champ's ex-lovers who had left a husband to be with her, claims the settlement she was offered by Martina was an "insult"
Doug and I exchanged marriage vows before a small gathering of friends and family twenty years ago today. Then came the big wedding reception which cost us ten thousand dollars. I think our anniversary dinner tonight at the Four Seasons set us back nearly as much.
We had our struggles over the years and I don't know how many times I wanted desperately to call it quits. But we always worked out our conflicts and emerged stronger for the effort and dedication. Amazingly, somehow, it keeps getting better. Thanks for everything, partner.
