Warning: This post is not funny. Its really what happened to me today. And can I just say.... I hate hate hate being an adult. Why the HELL do I need responsibilities? Except grocery shopping. I kind of think that's fun. Paying for it isn't.
Today was payday at Convergys. I was up at 8:30am so I could get my paycheck 5 minutes after 9 and have it in the bank before 9:25.
Its been a full and complete 3 weeks since I started there. My very first pay check. A whopping $607.45
Minus 116.92 in taxes
For a total of 490.53
Not to shabby?! I am pretty proud of myself! The lady behind the counter looked at me funny as I tried to explain why I had pornography charges on my account. Hopefully those are removed soon!
After the bank, I was heading to the University to see Chelsea Dean and help set up for a student involvement event they were planning. I peddle really fast to get to a CVTD Bus stop BEFORE the bus gets there (one that would take me up to the University).... The bike rack was full. I had to BIKE up the giant hill to the University.
Getting down the hill was much more fun. It was a sense of accomplishment. Many people have to quit and walk their bike up the rest of the hill.
After my biking adventure, I decided I needed to go grocery shopping. I went home and decided to look up different recipes for the upcoming work week. Something that would be versatile enough to make with anything, healthy, and delicious.
This is my shopping list:
Berries (Blue, Rasp, Black, or Straw... whichever is in season)
Tuna
Salad Stuff-- Romaine lettuce and Sunflower Kernals
Rice
Powdered Honey
Quinoa
Vegetables (Carrots, Advacado, Tomato)
Almond Milk
Great right? So I figured I could do Lettuce Wraps, Salads, Quinoa with Almond Milk and P. Honey, Tuna Salad, Rice with Almond Milk, P. Honey, and Fruit, and Tuna with crackers or on bread. Leave any other recipe ideas with these ingredients in the comments. Thank you much.
Oh, and I got something else at the grocery store, I got a guy's email address... because phone numbers are so pre-2000.
Then I went to work. Talked to a woman for about 30 minutes about her autistic son. Don't worry, I didn't fix her Comcast problems. Hopefully she has a 'Comcastic Day'.
