Have I told you the Belly Couple's new cat's been kidnapped? Well, it has. A few days ago he just disappeared, and when my brother checked the surveillance camera footage, we could see a blond fat woman getting off her car and picking the cat up in front of our house. It was quite appalling, for she didn't seem to be a person that sees a cute stray cat, plays with it a bit and when she realizes that it's indeed lost, she takes it home until a lost notice is, well, noticed. No, no. She seemed very determined. She gets off the car, picks the cat up without even blinking, gets back in the car and goes away on reverse. More...
- How is this for making a statement? Taio Cruz’s “Break Your Heart” will jump from #53 to #1 on tomorrow’s Hot 100 chart, marking the highest jump into the top spot ever for a brand new artist. This bodes very well for Taio’s success here, and while it sounds a bit like [...]

I finally saw this classic, and best picture winner for 1979 featuring Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep as two divorcees who wage a scorched earth custody battle for their son.
Honestly I was a bit underwhelmed. A good film, but nothing extraordinary for me.
The best performance I thought, was given by the young Justin Henry, who played Billy Kramer, their son.

Phew. I'm glad I got home safe.
Tuesday morning at around 9:15 I headed off to San Antonio to get some good "moho" time in. Seven hours later, instead of the typical three, I finally got there. It was a helluva drive.
Half-way to San Antonio, while on I-10, I heard a pop. As I glanced at the rear-view mirror I saw tire tread flying up in the air and came to a realization that I just had a blow-out. Here's the sequence of events that happened.

With last week's weather being in the high 50s, it felt like spring was here and winter was long gone. Thank goodness for the fresh snow on Monday night and Tuesday morning. About six inches of new snow here at the lodge. We sure do need it. These pictures are from this afternoon. Thelma and Silas were having a good time. You can see that there's open water along the edge of the lake in some places. Should probably think twice before heading out for ice fishing! Current temp@ Holland Lake Lodge 35 degrees. ** Don't forget, a quick click on each picture will show them in larger format for better viewing. More...
Holy potatoes Batman! Our first Great Buy in several months! In all honesty, this one could not wait, only because of the fact that if I personally don't purchase this wallet, then the Earth will unfortunately crumble and cease to exist. Yes, it's that cereal.
If you intend on going out and swiping that card anytime soon, I suggest you run over to Barneys and ask for this particular wallet, due to the pure fact that it happens to be the shit. Featuring signature star and ball studs in a circular motif, this gorgeous Givenchy studded bill-fold wallet will hold all those lovely credit cards that you're still paying off, as well as your local and international currency that you don't bother using. I am fascinated by scuba diver bubbles. I like watching the large discs of air split and sometimes rejoin before reaching the surface. I would probably be an easy mark for a door-to-door lava lamp salesperson.
The evening after I read the note from my roommate, he knocked on my door, came into my room and asked if I read the note. I told him that I did, and that he shouldn't feel bad. He asked if we were cool, and I said yeah, and he said "cool," then left. I thought that was the end of it.
Until this morning, when at 4 o'clock I get up head into the kitchen to get myself some breakfast and see yet again another note with my name on it. This one was a short one saying that he still felt bad even after I told him not to. He continued to feel bad because he had done some imitating and mocking. He said he might of embellished my mannerisms and whatnot to the people that he talked to. This kind of shocked me. You see, this is the roommate with whom I have the least amount of interface with. I think I might understand why he wrote the notes: we hardly ever see each other. So how could he go around mocking me with his friends?

So I was doing my thing today, going through my huffpo, checking out the articles. I usually don’t read the commentaries, because they tend to repeat talking points and rants that I can hear anywhere else, I mean frankly my rants are equally as intelligent as most of those, and that’s pretty sad! Anyway, I happened to be glancing at the titles when I came across, “Why I will Stand with Blanche Lincoln,” and of course my reaction was, WHAAAA?! Am I reading this correctly? Am I on the right site? Huffington Post: The Happy Hunting Ground for liberals dependent on friendly headlines?!
So I thought, sure I’ll bite, I began reading.

So my last blog post I meant for just a select audience to read. I normally put it on my facebook as a locked status. I guess this time I forgot. Within a minute or two of posting I get a little IM saying that a woman that is like a mom to me (my church mom, since none of my family is LDS), read it. She talked about not agreeing with my "coming out" but loves me anyway. It wasn't a shock to her because we have talked lightly about the subject.
I tried to fix my facebook status right away, but it does make me wonder who else read it. More...

For those of you thinking ahead a couple months, please do NOT get me one of these for my birthday. I much prefer the feel of the ocean water on my skin (not to mention my claustrophobia issues).
