This movie was interesting. It provoked some serious, and timely even today, controversy/thought regarding science, religion, and social hierarchies. Definitely worth watching!

Not very encouraging for a recent college graduate.
I've posted about my cousin on here before, but not in good detail, so allow me to delve further.
It was either December 29th or 30th 2007 that I came out to my cousin. I'd just come out to myself a few weeks before, and I'd just met the guy who would become my boyfriend a few days before. I was feeling such a rush from finally taking the leap to live the life I was meant to, that I just wanted to share it with people I thought I could trust. My cousin was someone I thought I could trust. We'd had many conversations that year about gay rights and he seemed incredibly open-minded. Also, he is one of the gayest people I've ever seen in my life (and I know some almost cripplingly gay people). I think half of me expected for him to come out to me right after I came out to him. I was pretty stupid.

You never were interested in me. You were interested in the concept of me. The concept of having someone." This is evident in the velocity in which you moved on to the next person to date. You have some difficulty, some argument with me, then call things off, and then the very next day you're telling me you have a date this coming weekend. Is this in attempt to make me jealous, an ultimatum as it were? It makes me realize that it wasn't me you wanted. It was "someone." That is why I told you not to toss out that "I love you," that you so foolishly uttered to me.
You don't/didn't love me. If you love/loved me than patience for me and my imperfections would not run out, and yet you have said that your patience and tolerance have run out. Love last longer than that, I know that now. You would not have run off to the next person in attempts to live and enjoy your life. I do want you to live and enjoy your life, so go on this date, you'll probably enjoy it. You'll enjoy having "someone" to spend time with you, to be next to you, to talk to.

King Kong topped the wrong building.
The Municipal Building of East Rutherford may very well be mistaken for the Empire State Building. Considering they are pretty much neighbors, the big gorilla made a fatal choice not deciding to climb East Rutherford’s most recognized building instead.

Warning: This post is not funny. Its really what happened to me today. And can I just say.... I hate hate hate being an adult. Why the HELL do I need responsibilities? Except grocery shopping. I kind of think that's fun. Paying for it isn't.
Today was payday at Convergys. I was up at 8:30am so I could get my paycheck 5 minutes after 9 and have it in the bank before 9:25.

Five Spotted Eagle Rays kept hovering near the turtle cleaning station this morning for sporadic scrubbing by a pair of Rainbow Wrasses. They were a little shy around my camera but tolerated me from a distance. Maybe they didn't want photos taken until they were sparkling clean.

Countdown to unemployment: 4 Days
After a week where it was tough to find enough jobs today had six jobs that I wanted to apply to. And I haven’t even opened my email from Idealist. Arg. I guess that is how it works.
I also heard back from a job!! It was just sharing the wages and wondering if I was still interested. The pay is not great, but it is a job in development that would offer great future opportunities with other nonprofits. Hearing back was a huge lift for my spirits and will be the highlight of my day. I am keeping my fingers crossed for this one.

I just saw Dr. Brian Perri of Beverly Hills Spine Institute this morning, for my 1st post-op visit from L4-5 Microdiscectomy. The verdict? My healing process has been normal, if not above-average, thanks to a healthy/fit physical lifestyle. (Dr. Perri is on the left, and Dr. Siddique, on the right).
