
iNi Cooperative is proud to announce it’s current roster of snowboarders for the 2012 season. These great individuals are not just team riders but true agents of change spreading the knowledge and awareness of a better way of doing business and promoting the sport they love.

Eighteen of the world’s best snowboarder’s are settling into Baldface Lodge tonight, as the holding period for Red Bull Supernatural begins. On only one day between today and February 8th, the 18 will be the first riders to drop into Travis Rice’s dream snowboard run, competing to find out who is the best all-around snowboarder on the planet. Red Bull Supernatural is a first-of-its-kind, backcountry snowboard competition, challenging riders’ big mountain, freeride, slopestyle and big air talents all in one spectacular run.

The third weekend of the Gatorade Free Flow Tour hit mountain resorts across the country with slopestyle events at Mount Bachelor and Okemo and a superpipe event at Killington Resort. The final two spots for Red Bull Supernatural are now spoken for with Mark McMorris (CAN) and Sage Kotsenburg (USA) both accepting their wild card invites. These two future legends coming out of the freestyle world will join 16 other snowboarders who accepted invites to compete at Red Bull Supernatural, February 3rd through 8th at Baldface Lodge outside of Nelson, B.C., Canada. This first-of-its-kind backcountry snowboard competition, the brainchild of Travis Rice, will challenge, then crown the best all-around snowboarder on the planet.

t was a big week in Colorado for riders on Mervin Mfg’s Gnu and Lib Tech snowboards. Gnu rider Forest Bailey won his first X Games gold in his first X Games appearance by winning the street competition. The next day Jamie Anderson won her third X Games gold in slopestyle riding a Gnu Ladies Choice. Later that night at the TransWorld SNOWboarding Rider Polls, Lib Tech riders took home major honors with Jamie Lynn receiving the ‘Legend Award,’ Travis Rice winning ‘Men’s Rider of the Year,’ and Eric Jackson’s part in People’s “Good Look” winning ‘Men’s Video Part Of The Year.’

Mountain High is proud to announce two members of its newly formed professional snowboard team medaled in the Snowboard Street event at the 2012 Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado. Ryan Paul took Silver with his impressive technical tricks including a 270 onto the Jersey Barrier to 450 out, a gap to 50-50 on the down-flat ledge to a backflip out, and a Cab 180 to 50-50 on the ledge to backside rodeo out. Nick Visconti held off some series competition to win the Bronze with his smooth style and hammer tricks including a hardway cab 3 on the down rail, a 270 onto the curved C-rail, and frontside 50-50 to 180 out on the massive cargo container feature.

Though the results might appear somewhat predictable the culmination of the 2012 Winter X Games was a dramatic affair.. The pinnacle event at Winter X is always the mens halfpipe finals and the sixteenth iteration of this made for TV spectacle was no different.
